Tehran Telecommunication Company’s Head informs: pilot implementation of Credit Internet granting in Tehran

Granting credit Internet has been executed as a pilot in the 7th telecommunication region in Tehran.

 Eng. Mohammad Roohollahi, the CEO of Tehran Telecommunication Company (TTC) in an interview with Public Relations Dept. of ICT ministry stated that: this service is executed because the needs of tenants who lived in Tehran and move each year. With executing this service, the tenants who have no permission for having ADSL line from their house owners can use this service only by registering their identity, he added. After registration, the service will get active and the applicants with buying credits from banks charge their ADSL account and use the internet up to end of the credit. It is necessary to mention that if the credit finishes, the service will disconnect automatically. He with pointing to granting SMS sending services in home phones said that: sending SMS from home phone is performed in 3 ways include: 1) sending via especial home phone or the device which connected to a normal home phone for sending SMS, 2) Using PIYASA System in Dial-up mode and 3) using high speed Internet of “Asanak”. Mohammad Roohollahi also talked about the new service of Voice Dial which is using special word for calling instead of dialing numbers. By using this service, the applicants have no more need to memorize the numbers and this, make the communications easier. This plan can be performed for 4, 5 and 8 digit numbers in which one number is defined for each word and one or several words for each number.
