Minister of ICT: Regulations development should be parallel to ICT development

ICT development will be accelerated during the fifth development plan but regulation and rules should be developed, in parallel with this.

PR of the Ministry of ICT- Dr. Reza Taghipour in the professional committee of legal and laws on cyber space in ICT working-group said:" we should protect the country and people against the probable harms in cyber space".
"Many changes and developments will be occurred in ICT area because of the nature, so it needs new rules and regulations, too", he added.
He continued:"Therefore, the required laws should be legislated quickly and carefully by considering the quality as well as new topics in this area".
Head of ICT working-group said that the compound activities should be done in this area for law legislation and continued:"law legislators in ICT area should design the regulations and detect the criminals by considering the legal cases as well as technical details in this section".
"Cyberspace is larger than physical space, so the regulations should be predicted in parallel with the real space", he emphasized.
Dr. Reza Taghipour pointed to the legal and laws committee as a main committees of ICT working-group and said:" there are some difficulties in ICT area because it's soft ware and needs some serious regulations and educated judges who knows ICT".
According to the report, Seyyed Morteza Bakhtiyari, Justice Minister, pointed to the fifth plan laws and said:" there are good legal opportunities in all areas in the fifth plan, as well as in ICT area and it should be used as well as possible".
"Justice Ministry and the Bills commission are prepared to study ICT cases as soon as possible in order to resolve the existent legal questions in this area", he added.
According to the report, Dr. Mirkouhi, head of the professional legal and laws committee for cyber space in ICT working-group, has provided a report of the defined projects development as well as the ongoing activities in this area.
