Public Relation Of ICT ministry – Dr. Reza taghipour with mentioning this point in a meeting with ICT zone journalists which was held for Journalist’s Day, said that: ICT section is considered as one of the bases for knowledge-based economies.
It is essential to produce so many contents for E-government development and the impacts on costs reduction, time saving and protecting environment for expanding this culture in the entire society, he added.
Dr. Taghipour with pointing to the merging ICT ministry with other ones, said that fortunately, with enlightenment of journalists, the public thoughts has been disclosed and the merging process has canceled because of their enthusiasm.
He with appreciating journalists and all who have tried their best to protect the ministry’s position as an independent section, asserted that: these efforts has stopped adopting the decision which causes serious harms to the country.
The minister of Communication entitled ICT as the animated motor for economy and culture and asserted that the developed countries have their all-out economical development grounded on Communication and Information Technology.
There are so many countries which have changed from underdeveloped to developed country in a short time period by leaning on Information Technology, he emphasized.
He with mentioning this matter that the ICT can play role in different zones as an independent, dynamic and glorious zone, continued: China, South Korea, Singapure, Malasia and some other Eastern Asia countries are such countries which have been successful in IT-based economical development.
He talked about South Korea’s experience and stated: the way which this country has passed through in this 10 years, made a rapid progression to a modern country which is because of ICT.
Now and according to what South Korea officials say, one third of the country’s economy are supplied by ICT zone, he added.
The important role of ICT in South Korea’s high power economy need to be contemplated and this country can be a good model for us.
