PR of the Ministry of ICT – Dr. Reza Taghipour in a conference on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of founding Post bank public company and implementation of targeted subsidies said: "Post Bank Public Co. is considered as one obvious example of serving as well as a honorable axes of the ninth and tenth government to realize the slogan "serving to the people".
"The government needs some tools; structure and mechanism to be able to conduct the duties completely", he added.
He expressed that we should not lose this executive mechanism to serve the people now and pointed: "the movement of serving to the rural areas that is considered as the government honors during the ninth and tenth cabinet should be continued".
Minister of ICT by referring to the privatization of TCI said: "The largest collection of the stock exchange belongs to telecommunications companies which have contained a much volume of total stock so it reflects the Ministry of ICT thought based on managing the affairs by private sector and implementing Article 44 policies and following the leader commands".
"According to the scientific reviews, Post bank provides the services to the applicants as a public company and alongside of Post Company in many countries such as France and Switzerland that has capitalist economy idea", he continued.
Dr. Reza Taghipour emphasized: "Post bank will be managed as a public company until 1393 for the experiences and also implementing the assigned tasks of the Ministry of ICT".
He said that Post bank would continue to give services to the deprived areas during this time and also the headquarters sections would be separated to be the non-government sector.
Minister of ICT by referring to the goals of Post Bank establishment said: "Post Bank provides it's services to people who lives in the deprived areas and reduce the waste and unnecessary trips for receiving the banking services especially for villagers".
He emphasized: "On the other hand, we believe that Post bank should be managed to be profitable and also provide the economy services to satisfy the people and shareholders".
Dr. Reza Taghipour pointed to implementation of targeted subsidies in the country and said: "we should appreciate people' cooperation that surprised the world once again by implementing the plan".
He said that targeted subsidies had been demanded before to five cabinets but it had been delayed for different reasons, and continued: "The average of subsidies in GDP is between three to five percent in the world while this figure is nearly 34 percent in our country."
"Despite Post bank differs from some large banks from the viewpoint of capital and liquidity but it has been able to implement this plan along the other banks and provide the needed services to the applicants, especially for rural areas", he continued.
Minister of ICT pointed to the major economic development projects as a long term plan and emphasized: "It will be implemented by the government in the best way and with people's patience and also the agreements taken by the government so that people do not suffer".
According to the report, Dr. Fathipour, Head of Economic Commission in the parliament said: "we observed that Post Bank has a key role to provide the appropriate services to the villages and deprived areas in subsidies targeted plan."
"We would like to thank Post Bank for its valuable activities in deprived areas", He continued.
Fathipour said: "We saw the least problems in the villages for implementing the targeted subsidies because Post bank offices have provided the services carefully and rapidly in these areas".
"Post Bank has received a well grade from the parliament in implementing targeted subsidies and we hope to see more progress in this company by presence of Dr. Mohebian Araghi as the chairman and CEO", Head of Economic Commission in the parliament said.
According to the report, Hojatoleslam Islami, Assistant of the Commission of Article 90 of the parliament emphasized: "Post Bank should try to satisfy people by providing the desired services to the rural areas and disadvantaged people".
"Implementation of Article 44 of the constitution and privatization is a necessity but not in all areas and Post bank is considered in this part because of its activities on serving to the rural areas", he continued.
At the end, he said: "According to the statistics, people's satisfaction of the services provided by the Ministry's of ICT has been increased".
