PR of the Ministry of ICT - Hossein Maadani, Head of the group dispatched to Mecca from the ministry of ICT said:" This call time has been counted through a million and 38 thousand calls from Iran to Saudi Arabia and vice versa".
"About 796 thousand call has been done from Iran to Saudi Arabia and 242 thousand and 560 call from Saudi Arabia to Iran during this time", he added.
He said that the calls quality is good in compare with international statistics and continued: "TCI has given the priority to the direct routes during the current Hajj ".
"Accordingly, a significant number of communication channels and different routes have been provided to achieve a good quality communication during this Hajj", Hossein Maadani pointed.
He about referring the Iranian pilgrims to ICT offices located in Mecca and Medina said: "Most of them come to get information about communication issues".
He said that "The first operator" and "Irancell" SIM card will be provided in these offices and added: " new SIM card will be issued and delivered in less than 10 minutes if the pilgrims or Hajj caravan contact the offices stationed in Mecca and Medina and declare it's missing".
