The Public Relation Center of the ICT Ministry, based on Foreign Ministry’s report, stated that the Minister of Communication and Information Technology is heading a delegation to Chinese city of Zhengzhou, in order to attend the SCO council’s meeting, representing I.R. of Iran, as an observer state; the ICT Minister is going to address the session on various subjects such as the methods and approaches for expanding regional cooperation in economic, commercial and banking areas, also efficient utilization of SCO’s potential capacities, and the long-term view for advancing the objectives and programs of the organization.
The Minister will also announce the readiness of our country in economic, scientific and technical areas especially in view of new opportunities in the post-sanctions period for increased participation and cooperation in the investment sectors of the Iranian Market.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), established 14 years ago, has six member states which consist of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan; and five observer states: Iran, India, Pakistan, Mongolia, and Afghanistan.
In presence of eight Prime Ministers, the 2015’s council session will be opened officially by the Prime Minister of China, with the objective of preparing and ratifying the development strategy of SCO for the coming decade.
