According to ICT Ministry’s Public Relation Center, Vahid Yazdanian, the Supervisor of the College of Applied Sciences in Post and Telecommunications (ICT Faculty) in his meeting with Abdul Razaq Vahidi, the Afghan Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology, elaborated that: “The ICT Faculty is in possession of vast experiences in the communication and information technology sector, and it was decided that this experiences will be provided to Afghan specialists, to be used in training of the required personnel.”
He went on to say that: “Exchanging information and experiences between two countries in postal services sector is another topic requested by the Afghan Telecommunication Minister.”
Yazdanian added that: “Both parties emphasized the importance of utilizing experienced specialists from their two countries in implementation of major ICT sector projects.”
The Afghan Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology also highlighted the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan in various national and regional dimensions, stating that: “Exchanging knowledge and experiences in various sectors can lead to worthy achievements considering the long history of both countries, enabling a win-win relationship for our respective nations.”
Abdul Razaq Vahidi commented that: “The story of Iran-Afghan relations dates back to beginning of history itself, a relationship that can be transferred to future generations, and always be considerate of improving and safeguarding relations.”
He included that: “Afghanistan is supposed to obtain its required internet from Iran and China and therefore, my country can act like a bridge between Tehran and Beijing for connecting with Eastern Asia.”
Abdul Razaq Vahidi attended ICT Faculty Wednesday morning, visiting College of Applied Sciences in Post and Telecommunications’ ‘Internet of Things’ Laboratory and other sections of the campus.
The College of Applied Sciences in Post and Telecommunications (ICT Faculty) was established based on the certification permit of the ‘Higher Education Development Council’, with the objective of training the required specialists of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and its affiliated institutions; ICT Faculty is currently being considered an International University in the field of ICT, because of its focus on International Telecommunication Union (ITU)’s training courses in the middle-east region.
