According to ICT Public Relation Center, Dmitry Rogozin, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, said that: “The Joint Economic Commission of our countries enjoys a unique structure, which shows the common relations and similar positions of both governments.”
He referred to the importance of research and cooperation projects in this area between Iran and Russia, saying: “Having and utilizing advanced technologies for a country acts like a showcase.”
Dmitry Rogozin, expressing that the Russian President has turned the Space Industry sector to him, added that: “In parallel with practical activities in this regard, we also have to pursue scientific activities in a target-oriented manner.”
He further elaborated that: “In regard to defensive and security issues, there exists a deep mutual trust and understanding between both governments, and it is vital to turn this mutual trust into a success in bilateral relations in practice.”
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister referred to coordinating the standpoints of both countries in the energy sector, and said: “Iran and Russia have very rich oil and gas deposits and we have to coordinate our efforts in this field to be able to reach reasonable prices in energy carriers sector.”
He also pointed out the three stages of cooperation between the two countries, saying: “These three stages include exchanging specialists familiar with each other’s capabilities, regional cooperation at the provincial level of both countries, and the activities of Iran-Russia Commercial Council.”
Underscoring the high role and impact of the Joint Commission in development of relations, he included that: “From my viewpoint, the more we cooperate, the more potential we found for various activities between our two countries.”
Also, in regard to direct inter-provincial communication, he concluded that: “Our first step in this direction consist of signing a sisterhood agreement between Isfahan and Saint-Petersburg.”
