Nationwide Seminar on Post Company’s Programs of 2015-2016  Mehri: Postal Traffic up by %12.5

Nationwide Seminar of the Iran’s Post Company was held based on trifold dimensions of physical, electronic, and financial activities; attended by deputy ministers of ICT, and administrative and executive deputies of Post Company.

According to Public Relation department of the ICT, during this 2-day seminar, Mr. Eng. Mehri stated that, “%34 increase in Special Postal Service traffic, %26 increase in Support Services traffic, and a %23 increase in Registered Mail Services traffic are just some of the achievements of the Post Company in 2014-2015 period.”

The Managing Director of the Post Company underlined the %28 growths in the weight and volume of the mailed consignments in 2014-2015, adding that, “altogether, we have been facing a %12.5 increase in Postal traffic.”

He also pointed out the statute of the Post Co., saying that: “This statute has been ratified and published in the “Article 44” commission by the support of Dr. Vaezi, and is currently waiting its turn for the voting of the MP’s in the Parliament.”

The Managing Director of Post Co. stating that the properties of the company amount to 34 thousand billion Rials, said that: “Financial discipline and transparency are on the Post Company’s main agenda.”

He further elaborated, saying that: “Last year, we had a debt of 1.460 thousand million Rials, out of which 1.350 thousand million has already been repaid,” and included, “Fortunately; we were able to economize 15 billion Rials last year, saved through reorganization of our payment methods.”

Underscoring the% 45/3 increase in the income of the company, he added: “the difference in the income levels of the 2014-2015 period compared with its past year amounts to 1.980 billion Rials, which considering the %10 decrease of our manpower, caused us to be more attentive of the needs and livelihood of our colleagues in the company.”

Pointing out that the postal companies around the globe are already targeting other products and services, the head of the Iranian post company concluded that: “Based on international statistics, in 2012, the volume of the mail around the globe dropped by% 5/4, and this means that by the growth and development of technologies, we have to start thinking about providing new services
