According to the Ministry’s PR department, the “5G Mobile Networks – Challenges and Approaches Conference” is going to be held on June 2015.
The main objectives of the upcoming conference, which will be held in collaboration with local and international ICT experts in the field of 5G mobile networks, is going to include various subjects, such as introduction of ongoing researches, technological challenges, frequency limitations, the effects on other networks and technologies and being affected in turn by others, proposed characteristics and suggested strategies.
Upcoming challenges will also be discussed and studied during the conference from a similar viewpoint.
Accordingly, the G5 conference’s policymaking committee also deliberated and discussed the properties, requirements, and topics of the conference, the G5’s key speakers, and the membership of the ICT Research Institute in the “5GIC”.
The main objectives of the conference were also defined in four topics: Clarifying G5’s overall scope, identifying G5’s technological requirements, related services and the R&D section.
Lastly, the importance of the three perspectives of the regulator, the spectrum and the private sector in the conference was discussed and the establishment of the G5 Nucleus or the G5 Innovation Center in the ICT Research Institute was emphasized in this policymaking session.
